Minimum requirements - 5 Audio Clips, 2 Plug-ins (e.g. compression as well as the use of some time based FX, demonstrate attention to detail with regards to consistency in audio signal levels and appropriate balance between audio elements and dialogue.
Chosen Genre – NAMET (New Age, meditational, ethnic and tribal) however due to the diversity in terms of social, economic, factors, history and musical composition the podcast will be confined to the meditational element only.
Inspiration – I was inspired to choose NAMET because I am interested in this specific type of music and am also fascinated by the analytical data of my NAMET YouTube Channel which promotes this style. There is no common underlying structure as it is cultural rather than musical reflection. For example meditational music would have similarities to ethnic; ethnic would share some similarities with some tribal music. Yet meditational music which relies on harmony has very few musical similarities to tribal music which is more beat orientated. Consequently within NAMET I am choosing to focus on one specific sub-genre i.e. meditational.
